Dear Prof. Gatani, Thanks for your explanation, and your admission of a "deplorable mistake" in your failure to cite the source due to strict page constraints. However, we did some additional research and found three papers of yours with similar statements, none of them cited the source: Reinforcement Learning for P2P Searching Found in: Seventh International Workshop on Computer Architecture for Machine Perception (CAMP'05) pp. 303-308 An Adaptive Routing Protocol for Ad Hoc Peer-to-Peer Networks Found in: Sixth IEEE International Symposium on a World of Wireless Mobile and Multimedia Networks (WoWMoM'05) An adaptive routing mechanism for P2P resource discovery Found in: Fifth IEEE International Symposium on Cluster Computing and the Grid (CCGrid'05) - Volume 1 We are not convinced that the page constraints applied also to each of these papers. We also noticed that some later publications by others cited your papers, but not the Akavipat et al paper, indicating that the apparent plagiarism did have a negative impact on the authors of the original paper. Needless to say, we are disappointed by our findings. Unless you can satisfactorily address these issues within two weeks, this message serves as notification that plagiarism has been found and the result of our investigation will be reported to relevant parties for possible further action consistent with ACM's Policy and Procedures on Plagiarism, starting with your public apology to the original authors and to the publishers of your relevant papers. Thanks for your attention. -Vincent Shen
